About Niagara

When newlyweds Polly (Jean Peters) and Ray Cutler (Max Showalter, billed as Casey Adams) arrive at the famous honeymooning location of Niagara Falls, they soon meet the provocative Rose Loomis (Marilyn Monroe) and her mysterious husband, George (Joseph Cotten). Convinced that something is amiss between the Loomises, Polly becomes even more suspicious when she comes upon Rose in the arms of another man. While Ray initially thinks his bride is overreacting, things soon take a shockingly dark turn. [88 min; film noir; English]

Before the film, we’re excited to welcome performer Madison Avenue for a very special introduction to celebrate Monroe and the conclusion of this series.

“This film noir in color benefits from Hathaway's taut direction, strong performances of Monroe as the adulterous wife and Cotten as the jealous hubby, and location shooting.” – Emanuel Levy, EmanuelLevy.com

“The film itself verges on melodrama, daft and clever by turns, with a fine performance from Cotten and some interesting location shots of the falls, but this is Monroe's star-making movie and, boy, does she know it.” – Tony Sloman, Radio Times

“Around the scenic splendor of Niagara Falls, Charles Brackett has produced and co-scripted a gripping murder melodrama that is loaded with sex and suspense.” – The Hollywood Reporter
