Arthouse Now features new films from the global arthouse community, restorations of little-screened classics, and the cutting edge of independent filmmaking.

Screenings include:

August 30, 4pm: The Secret Agent | Combine the political turmoil of 1977 Brazil, a technology expert on the run, the underground resistance, and one rogue leg and you get this three-time Cannes winner and Oscar contender.

September 4, 7pm: Days and Nights in the Forest | Indian master Satyajit Ray crafts the ultimate hangout film whose breeziness belies its deep exploration of human connection. New 4K restoration!

September 18, 7pm: Resurrection (2025) | A visual masterwork that plunges you into a pure dreamscape of illusion, beauty, and a century of cinema, eventually depositing you at the end of time.

September 25, 7pm and September 27, 4pm: No Other Choice | Park Chan-wook's darkly funny, bloody, and bleak capitalist satire follows a man who will make sure he gets a job... at any costs.

October 8, 7pm: Two Prosecutors | The latest from the great Ukrainian director Sergei Loznitsa is a scalpel-precise tale of the horrors of totalitarian bureaucracy.

October 16, 7pm and October 18, 4pm: It Was Just an Accident | Iranian maverick Jafar Panahi's bluntly political film is a defiant rebuke of authoritarianism wrapped in a gripping thriller.

October 23, 7pm and October 25, 4pm: The President's Cake | A tenderly crafted, often devastating portrait of childhood in rural Iraq, The President's Cake vividly brings to life its morally complex world through richly drawn characters and intimate storytelling.

October 27, 7pm: Everybody to Kenmure Street | A remarkable story of resistance, community care, and the power of everyday people coming together to fight injustice. Indiana premiere!

November 3, 7pm: Mary Oliver: Saved by the Beauty of the World | Featuring interviews with her close friends and fans—including John Waters, Stephen Colbert, Lucy Dacus, and Steve Buscemi—this deeply personal portrait considers the poet Mary Oliver's lifetime of work and captures the natural beauty that inspired her.

November 17, 7pm: Palestine 36 | A sweeping yet intimate historical epic, Palestine 36 intricately unfolds the story of British colonialism, rewarding viewers with a humanist, clear-eyed act of remembrance. Recorded Q&A with filmmaker Annemarie Jacir to follow!

December 1, 7pm: The Plague | A stunning debut that mixes body horror, Lord of the Flies, and the twinned empathy and power of being a teenage boy.

December 11, 7pm: The Great Arch | The fictionalized story of a real-life architecture teacher from Copenhagen who surprised the world when he won a French open-call competition to build Paris' next landmark wonder.

December 12, 4pm: The Stranger (2025) | Rethinking Camus' classic existentialist text through a modern political lens, François Ozon's The Stranger is equal parts intriguing and aesthetically beautiful.
