Gifts to this fund support our film screenings, programs, lectures, and other special events, as well as other IU Cinema needs.
Established by Marsha R. Bradford and Harold A. Dumes. This fund supports an ongoing series of lectures and film screenings related to works of art in the IU Eskenazi Museum of Art.
Established by the Ove W Jorgensen Foundation and Jane M. and Jay O. Jorgensen. This fund enables IU Cinema to bring some of the world’s most talented filmmakers to campus. Each guest gives a public lecture or interview, introduces and discusses his or her work, and shares his or her wisdom with students.
Established by Gregory A. Waller and Brenda R. Weber. This series introduces children of all ages to stories and cultures from around the world. After all, you are never too young to develop a taste for good films.
Established by S. James Sherman and Roberta T. Sherman. This annual program pairs two filmmakers on stage to discuss their artistic visions, processes, and bodies of work, surrounded by screenings of their films.
Established by Laura C. Trout and Grafton D. Trout Jr. This fund honors Grafton Trout, a deceased IU alumnus, sociology professor, director of the IU Honors Program in Foreign Languages, and champion of arts and humanities at IU—including IU Cinema. The fund supports programming that Grafton would have loved.
Established by P.A. Mack Jr. This award offers commissioning funds for students in the IU Jacobs School of Music to create musical scores for silent films. Each score is premiered at IU Cinema with a live performance during a screening of the film.
These funds will ensure IU Cinema is a world-class venue and facility well into the future:
