About Solaris

Year Released:
Action/Adventure, Drama, Science Fiction

A stark contrast to fast-paced, special-effects laden science-fiction films, Solaris is a meditative psychological drama centered around the inexplicable emotional breakdown of the crew of a space station orbiting the planet Solaris. Psychologist Kris Kelvin (Donatas Banoinis) is sent to the station, only to discover he, too, is susceptible to the same illness, as the film explores the unreliability of reality and the power of the human subconscious. Winner of the 1972 Grand Prix Spécial du Jury at Cannes. (HD Digital Format)
