Ward Roberts (BA'00)
Writer-Director Ward Roberts has joined forces with his extensive family of Indiana Hoosiers to create his latest and greatest cinematic thrill-ride, Dust Up. Featuring no less than 20 IU alumni in its cast and crew whose time in Bloomington spans from the 1950's right up to 2010.
Roberts has worked and studied with some of the biggest names in the business, including Jeff Goldblum, Shane Black, and the Coen Brothers. A founding member of DrexelBox, Ward has built a varied and extensive resume in the film and television industry.
He wrote, directed and starred in his short film, The Boy Scout, which won multiple awards and played at over 30 film festivals around the world. His first feature film as writer and director, Little Big Top, starred the legendary Sid Haig, and made its world premiere at the Heartland Film Festival going on to receive critical acclaim upon its release in theaters and on DVD in 2008.
Along with directing and editing numerous music videos for bands such as Spindrift & Gram Rabbit, Ward’s popular web series, The Baby Eaters, has garnered over a million views and boasts new subscribers every day. Ward has acted in countless films, television shows and plays, including lead roles in the cult favorites joshua, Doomed, and Lo. Roberts has been seen on The History Channel, E! Television, N.C.I.S. and CSI: NY and is also a series regular on Spike TV’s hit show MANswers.
