Unlike other concert films of the time, the progressive rock group Pink Floyd chose to do something completely different. This is a filmed live performance in the oldest standing Roman amphitheater, in Pompeii, Italy – without an audience. Songs include Echoes, A Saucerful of Secrets, and One of These Days. The majority of the footage was shot over four days in 1971, with additional footage shot in a Paris television studio. The film has since inspired many other bands to create their own videos without an audience. (Digital presentation)
