Josephine Decker
Recently named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film, Josephine Decker just premiered her first two narrative features at the Berlinale Forum 2014. Along with directing, she says that she is fortunate to be collaborating with artists she admires. She has recently starred in Brigitta Wagner’s Rosehill, Stephen Cone’s Black Box, Joe Swanberg’s Uncle Kent and Art History, Joe Swanberg and Adam Wingard’s Autoerotic, and Onur Tukel’s Richard’s Wedding. Josephine raises awareness about environmental issues through her performance art. Richard Brody of The New Yorker stated that, “The most original independent filmmaker to surface in the past few years is
Josephine Decker.”
