Genres:
Metadata:
Wellesiana: Presented by Joseph McBride This program will be a mixed bag of pieces of Welles's work from around the world that range from a recording of his stage work to newsreel and television footage and outttakes from his films and rare clips of fugitive film work. Originally presented this year as part of the Orson Welles retrospective at New York's Film Forum, Wellesiana will be shown by Joseph McBride, author of three books on Welles. The program of rarities will include his early short film The Hearts of Age (made when he was 19), rushes, film cameos, TV appearances, screen tests, footage from seldom-seen and/or uncompleted films, and other ephemera spanning the director’s more than half-century career. Joseph McBride's book What Ever Happened to Orson Welles?: A Portrait of an Independent Career will be on sale during this presentation. (Digital presentation)
