About CatVideoFest 2023
CatVideoFest returns once again to IU Cinema! A compilation reel of the latest and best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos, and classic internet powerhouses, CatVideoFest is a joyous communal experience, only available in theaters, and raises money for cats in need through partnerships with local cat charities, animal welfare organizations, and shelters to best serve cats in the area. [75 min; comedy, crime, drama]
IU Cinema’s CatVideoFest 2023 screening supports The Ranch Cat Rescue, whose mission is to provide a safe environment to foundling felines and help cats in need become adopted into loving forever families. The Ranch assists with TNR (trap, neuter, return) work in the Bloomington, Ind., community (and beyond), advocates for cat welfare, and helps to educate the public so together we can work to save the lives of cats and kittens. Since its founding in 2020, The Ranch has helped nearly 300 cats and kittens find a safe landing place.
Also participating in this year's purr-fect feline festivities is Pets Alive, which provides the compassionate solution to end the unnecessary euthanasia of cats (and dogs) by offering affordable, high-quality spay/neuter services. Pets Alive works to improve the health and well-being of cats and dogs by partnering with the animal welfare community to provide life-saving programs and compassionate solutions to pet overpopulation. Spay/neuter saves lives!
