About Long Shot

Unpredictable, progressive, and gifted journalist Fred Flarsky (Seth Rogen) has a knack for getting into trouble. Charlotte Field (Charlize Theron)—a sophisticated and accomplished politician—is one of the most influential people in the world. When Fred unexpectedly runs into Charlotte, who also happens to be his childhood babysitter and first crush, right when she decides to make a run for the presidency, she impulsively hires Fred as her speechwriter. They embark on a whirlwind presidential campaign that just may change the White House forever in this smart, stylish, funny, and deeply warm romantic comedy. [123 min; romantic comedy; English]

"A crowd-pleasing charm bomb of a movie that combines intelligence and a sexual spark to explosively funny ends." — Wendy Ide, Irish Times

"Rogen, Theron, and a handy cast of supporting stars (including June Diane Raphael and O'Shea Jackson Jr. as Fields's hands-on head of staff and Fred's jovial best friend, respectively) make the movie float." — K. Austin Collins, Vanity Fair

"Long Shot works because it is built on the strong platform of taking two interesting people, putting them in situations where comedy feels natural and telling a love story that grows at a natural rate. This is sure to be a winning ticket." — Rick Bently, Tribune News
