About Rudy

Rudy Ruettiger wants to play football at the University of Notre Dame, but has neither the money for tuition nor the grades to qualify for a scholarship. [127 min; drama, sports; English]

Director David Anspaugh, writer Angelo Pizzo, and subject Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger will be at the Cinema, and a Q&A with the talent behind this iconic Indiana film will follow.

"Anspaugh directs this story as if he were conducting Bolero, carefully building climax upon climax as the story spirals to an underdog triumph." – Johanna Steinmetz, Chicago Tribune

"A film that hits all the right emotional buttons, it's an intelligent, sentimental drama that lifts an audience to its feet cheering." – Leonard Klady, Variety
