International Art House Series
The Oscars shorts return to IU Cinema! Don't miss your chance to see the Oscar-nominated short films as they were meant to be seen—on the big screen—ahead of the Academy Awards telecast on March 2.
For the first time since 2012, IU Cinema is happy to present a big-screen experience for the Oscar-nominated short films. Traditionally, these shorts program have been offered to our community by the Ryder Film Series. We are honored to be a part of Peter LoPilato's Bloomington legacy of connecting our community with global cinematic treasure through our International Arthouse Series and dedicate our first Oscar Shorts screenings in over a decade to his memory.
The documentary line-up will include:
Death by Numbers – Kim A. Snyder, 33 min, USA (in English)
I Am Ready, Warden – Smriti Mundhra, 37 min, USA (in English)
Incident – Bill Morrison, 30 min, USA (in English)
Instruments of a Beating Heart – Ema Ryan Yamazaki, 23 min, Japan (in Japanese)
The Only Girl in the Orchestra – Molly O’Brien, 34 min, USA (in English)
