Kevin Willmott: By Any Means Necessary!
Eleven years after his initial visit in 2013, Oscar-winning screenwriter, director, producer, and University of Kansas professor emeritus Kevin Willmott is returning to campus as he donates his collection of films, screenplays, posters, and more to the Black Film Center & Archive. To mark this occasion, Willmott will join us for a series of screenings and his second Jorgensen program. Don’t miss your chance to experience this incredible filmmaker and his work!
Additional events will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the collection at the Black Film Center & Archive on September 25 at 1:30pm, followed by a screening of No Place Like Home: The Struggle Against Hate in Kansas featuring a Q&A with Willmott and editor Mark Von Schlemmer at the IMU Whittenberger Auditorium at 4:30pm.
