This discussion will begin with a short clip from the documentary about the making of the film Kinsey, then lead into a discussion of The Kinsey Institute – past, present, and future, its significance, and the film. This will cover a wide range of topics relating to the Kinsey Institute and the ongoing cultural concerns of sexual health.

Panelists include:
  • Julia Heiman Professor of psychological and brain sciences and former director of The Kinsey Institute
  • Judith Allen Professor of History, and Kinsey scholar
  • Jennifer Bass Director of Communications, The Kinsey Institute

In 2011, the Coolidge Corner Theatre Foundation received a $150,000 grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation to expand Science on Screen℠ to independent cinemas nationwide. Over the past four years, the two organizations have awarded a total of 48 grants to 32 independent theaters for use in creating and presenting their Science on Screen℠ programming. Indiana University Cinema is one of the 2014-2015 award recipients.
