Father Carlo (Carlo Verdone) is in spiritual crisis and returns home after more than a decade spent in Africa as a missionary. In Rome, he finds his family in disarray—his brother is addicted to cocaine and bankrupt, his sister struggling with her teenage daughter, and his widowed father now has a Slavic mistress named Olga who is much younger than him. A twist of fate delivers the enigmatic and seductive Lara into their lives triggering a series of mix-ups that the family must resolve.
