The IU Office of Sustainability presents this award-winning documentary that follows the journey of three teenage boys, born into the world’s largest “garbage village.” Here, the Zaballeen or “garbage people” make their living by recycling an impressive 80 percent of trash they collect from the city of Cairo. Enter multi-national corporations to the waste-management system, and we see a unique exploration of how globalization affects this community.
