In the Folds of the Flesh/Nelle pieghe della carne In one of the most demented, convoluted, and bloody films in the tradition of the Italian Gothic-cum-crime film series known as the giallo, two women and a young man live together in uncertain incestuous relation to one another, killing off intruders, be they family members or otherwise. Throw in a complex flashback structure, gangsters and Nazis, pet vultures, and psychedelia for an unhinged and vicious exploration of the principle that family always comes first.

The screening will be preceded by a special introduction from Professor Richard Dyer (King's College, London), who has written several foundational books in the field of film studies. Contains mature content.
