After recalling a story of a sailor who is paid to sleep with the young wife of a wealthy man, he decides to bring the story to life. Upon hiring a willing young woman to acts as his wife, the game begins.


In F for Fake, Orson Welles portrays himself as a magician who can’t be trusted. The film is best described as a cinematic sleight of hand, a documentary that becomes something else entirely. Henry Jaglom, calls it “the most autobiographical of his films.” (DigiBeta and 35mm presentation)
