About Top Hat
When Jerry Travers (Fred Astaire) meets Dale Tremont (Ginger Rogers) in London, he ends up following her around the city trying to win her love. As in many of their other films together, the pair find themselves joined in song and dance despite the drama that ensues. This film is a wonderful example of the Astaire/Rogers magic and is also fondly remembered for its music composed by Irving Berlin—particularly the classic “Cheek to Cheek.” (Digital Presentation)
