Writer/Director Vincenzo Marra is scheduled to be present.

Eighteen-year-old Vincenzo, a young Neapolitan commuter, is faced with unemployment, following the brutal death of his father and the departure of his older sister. Since he risks eviction from the family apartment, he participates in an unsuccessful robbery and then enters the army to serve in Kosovo, only to return home with a tumor caused by depleted uranium. Writer/director Vincenzo Marra finds effective ways to communicate human stories through intense realism, formal structure, and no emotional sentimentalism. The film won the FIPRESCI prize at the 2004 Venice Film Festival. In Italian with English subtitles. (35mm Presentation)
