About Furious 7
Targeted by a cold-blooded black ops assassin with a score to settle (Jason Statham), Dom and the Fast family's only hope is to get behind the wheel again and secure an ingenious prototype tracking device. Facing their greatest threat yet in places as far away as Abu Dhabi and as familiar as the Los Angeles streets they call home, the crew must come together once again as a team, and as a family, to protect their own. Tragically, in November 2013, actor Paul Walker (who portrayed Brian O'Conner) died in a car accident at during post-production of Furious 7. After pushing the film's release, the production used CGI and family members to complete Walker's scenes following his shocking death. While O'Conner would remain an off-screen story presence in future films, Dom says goodbye to his on- and off-screen friend and brother with one last ride. "Itβs an enormous, steroidal blast, and as much ingenious fun as a blockbuster can be." β Richard Corliss, Time
"For all the full-throttle dazzle of Furious 7, the best scenes are the quietest ones, in which these characters make observations about love, life, and family that would seem overcooked in any other movie." β Stephanie Zacharek, Village Voice
"Furious 7 is at turns a celebration and a farewell, a film that goes for broke in using its many seemingly forgettable bits of established canon to tie together all of the films and pay its respects." β Dominick Suzanne-Mayer, Consequence
