About Exhibiting Forgiveness
Renowned artist Tarrell creates artwork that excavates beauty from the anguish of his youth, keeping past wounds at bay. His path to success is derailed by an unexpected visit from his estranged father, La'Ron, who is desperate to reconcile. Tarrell's mother hopes that her son can open his heart to forgiveness, giving them all another chance at being a family, but Tarrell and La'Ron soon learn that forgetting might be a greater challenge than forgiving in this raw and deeply moving film. "A visual revelation." — Peyton Robinson, RogerEbert.com
"Exhibiting Forgiveness is intimate, raw, and hopeful. Titus Kaphar does indeed shift the gaze by honoring the work Black men and women do to acknowledge the past and its hold upon them and move forward into a future of their own making." — Nadine Whitney, InSession Film
