The last film made by screen queen Carole Lombard before her untimely death, Ernst Lubitsch’s clever WWII satire is a rallying cry against fascism while expertly balancing slapstick and darkness.

Please note that one $10 ticket gets you access to all four films in the Hoosiers on Screen marathon. Ticketholders can come and go as they please during the films, plus snacks, drinks in resealable/enclosed containers (there are no cupholders in the Cinema!), and finger foods that do not emit a strong odor will be allowed for this special event. As nervy as it is hilarious, this screwball masterpiece from Ernst Lubitsch stars Jack Benny and, in her final screen appearance, Carole Lombard as husband-and-wife thespians in Nazi-occupied Warsaw who become caught up in a dangerous spy plot. To Be or Not to Be is a Hollywood film of the boldest black humor, which went into production right before the U.S. entered World War II.
