Inspiring Conversations

Inspiring Conversations (formerly Filmmaker to Filmmaker) brings together  film industry professionals, academics, critics, and other film experts for wide-ranging conversations on all manner of filmmaking, culture, and impact. Designed to "pull back the curtain" on the process of filmmaking and the maneuvers of film as a cultural product, this program is equal parts intellectual enlightenment and entertainment.

Fall 2026 Programs:

October 29, 7pm: Zodiac Killer Project (Indiana Premiere) | Director Charlie Shackleton rescues victory from the jaws of defeat in this revelatory rumination on filmmaking and the overindulgences of the true crime genre. A prerecorded conversation unique to IU Cinema between director Charlie Shackleton and IU Professor Debra Tolchinsky will screen after the film.
