Glenn Close and The Art of the Character
The essential and transformative power of costume design is exemplified by these two very different films starring Glenn Close. In 2017, the Sage Collection acquired the Glenn Close Costume Collection, selections from which are on view at the Eskenazi Museum of Art this fall. “The Art of the Character: Highlights from the Glenn Close Costume Collection” features costumes worn in 14 films, and spotlights the collaborative efforts of costume designers, makers, directors, and actors to bring a character to life.
Curated by Kelly Richardson of the Elizabeth Sage Historic Costume Collection in collaboration with Brittany D. Friesner, with support from IU Cinema and the Eskenazi Museum of Art.
