Historic Preservation Series
The movies in this series provide thought-provoking takes on the issues of historic preservation and the role that preservation plays in community-building and climate change. With The Greenest Building, we explore the role of preservation during a time of global ecological change by lowering the carbon footprint of new construction, while The Muppets has a conversation about questions of friendship, collaboration, and taking action in the face of potential loss of a historic and beloved site to the entire family. This partnership is supported through IU Cinema’s Creative Collaborations program.
Curated by Gloria Colom of the City of Bloomington Housing and Neighborhood Development, with support from IU Cinema and the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design.
