The One and Only Huckleberry

Val Kilmer was a singular talent. Unconstrained by genre, he did it all: action, drama, western, sci-fi, comedy, fantasy—you name it, he starred in it and, by no exaggeration, commanded every single second of his time on screen. Although most famous for his diverse film roles, Kilmer began his acting career on the stage and, at 17, was the youngest person ever accepted into the Juilliard School’s drama division (a record he held until 2003). Showcasing the breadth of his charisma, charm, chops, and, of course, his indelible ability to turn a phrase like no other, this series highlights some of our favorite Kilmer character incantations and, we hope, provides a small window into his wildly distinctive cinematic legacy.
