Art and a Movie This classic Japanese biopic is based on the life of the 18th-century Udo artist Kitagawa Utamaro (ca. 1753–1806). It tells the story of the artist and the women around him, but goes beyond historical biography to explore issues of humanity, beauty, and freedom. In Japanese with English subtitles.
