About Robot & Frank

Robot & Frank is set in the near future and centers on a retired cat burglar named Frank. His well-meaning but misguided children purchase a robot to care for their father as he ages and his dementia progresses. This fictional, comic take on caregiving shines a spotlight on how we find meaning and relate to the world as we age. [89 mins; comedy, drama; English]

This screening will be followed by an informal Q&A with Dementia Friendly Bloomington.

“Ageing, isolation, broken families, memory and the impact of modern technology are all playfully woven through a smart, comforting narrative that's at once immensely satisfying yet wonderfully unexpected.” – Larushka Ivan-Zadeh, metro.co.uk

“Rooted in genuine charm and the brilliant performance by Frank Langella, Robot & Frank steals your heart.” – Debbie Lynn Elias, Behind the Lens
