About The Truman Show

Before there was reality TV like we know it today, there was The Truman Show. This prescient dark comedy, celebrating its 25th anniversary, asks a contemporary existential question: Is it better to live for yourself or an audience? Truman (Jim Carrey) unknowingly stars in the longest-running documentary soap opera in history. Having been born into his role, Truman knows nothing different. His world is a soundstage, and everyone he meets—even his  closest friends and family members—is playing a part. [107 min; comedy, drama; English]

A Q&A with Brooklynn Shively (Themester), Craig Erpelding (The Media School), Julien Mailland (The Media School), and Nicholas Browning (The Media School) will follow the screening.
