About Bring It On

The Rancho Carne High School Toros cheerleading squad has spirit, spunk, sass, and a killer routine that’s sure to land them the national championship trophy for the sixth year in a row. For newly elected team captain Torrance (Kirsten Dunst), the Toros’ road to cheer glory stumbles when she discovers, through new recruit Missy Pantone (Eliza Dushku), that the Toros’ perfectly choreographed routines were stolen from the scorching hot East Compton Clovers’ hip-hop cheerleading squad across town, led by Isis (Gabrielle Union). Now, with their award-winning reputation on the line and next to no time to prepare, Torrance, Missy, and the rest of the Toros must scramble to find a new routine to compete in this year’s competition. [98 min; comedy, romance; English]

“With its rapid-fire jokes, knowing sense of the absurd and impressive dance routines, this tonally perfect romp will have you cheering—and chuckling—from start to finish.” — Chance Solem-Pfeifer, Willamette Week

"Under the film's spry surface and Kirsten Dunst's sunny smile, there's a brutal critique of the sports meritocracy (and, more broadly, meritocracy as a supposed system that justly rewards hard workers)." — Olivia Popp, Screen Queens

"It is Ms. Dunst who carries the movie and unifies its disparate elements. She's a terrific comic actress." — Dana Stevens, The New York Times
