About Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!

Go-go dancers Varla, Rosie, and Billie skip out on their nightclub jobs to race out to the desert to stir up a little mayhem. After karate expert Varla kills an innocent man, the trio takes his girlfriend hostage as they attempt to wheedle a hidden fortune from a misogynistic old man and his muscle-bound son. A campy and exhilarating joyride, Faster, Pussycat remains a top-tier classic of 1960s shock B-cinema. Presented on 35mm from an Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences print. [83 min; action, comedy; English]

"What attracts audiences is not sex and not really violence, either, but a Pop Art fantasy image of powerful women, filmed with high energy." — Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

"The film is brilliantly shot, throbbing with raw energy and skewed humor." — Stephen Amidon, Financial Times

"With its driving jazz score, hilarious dialogue and overdrive melodramatics, this is the ultimate expression of the American cinema's greatest fetishes: big breasts, fast cars, tight jeans, and sudden death. This is, in its own way, one of the great films of the 60's." — Kim Newman, Empire
